 Who doesn't love scones. I like mines with butter and jam. Whenever I make scones I can't help but think about when my husband and I used to visit the blue zoo at Mitchell's Park in Durban,my eldest son was just s around 5 years old and my second was 2 and my baby girl was a year old, they would play in the play area while we enjoyed their scones served with jam and cream.♥


INGREDIENTS

400g flour

20g baking powder

Pinch of salt

100g Rama Original

40g castor sugar

180ml water

Milk


METHOD 

Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

Rub in the Rama to make fine breadcrumbs.

Make a well in the centre and add the sugar and water.

Stir with a knife until well incorporated.

Knead lightly on a floured surface and press down to about 1cm thick.

Cut out scones with a round cookie cutter 

Place on a greased baking tray and milk wash.

Bake at 220ºC for 15 - 20 minutes.
