INGREDIENTS
250g butter
½ cup corn flour
½ cup castor sugar
½ cup finely chopped pecans
½ cup finely chopped almonds
2 cups cake flour
More castor sugar for garnish.
METHOD
Cream butter and sugar until white and fluffy.
Then add corn flour and beat until creamy.
Add in nuts, and gently mix it until incorporated well in the butter and corn flour mix.
Lastly add the flour and form into a soft dough.
Pinching small pieces of dough, roll even strips and form into horse shoe shapes, place on a greased and lined baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated oven of 160°C bake for 10-15min.
Biscuits must be light in colour.
Remove from oven and gently dip in castor sugar while warm.
NOTES
be gentle as the biscuits are meant to be soft melt in the mouth and not crispy.
Ends can be dipped in melted chocolate.
